Mission Focus

As a church, we are not only concerned with reaching out to the community immediately around us, but also further afield we support:

 

1. Netman and S.I.F.T   (Seed International Fund Trust) Link to website

One of our most recent additions to mission focus is the trip to Nicaragua, where one of our own members, Steven Clewlow, has joined forces with his uncle (Netman) in assocation with S.I.F.T (a Christian charity based in the UK committed to helping the poor of Nicaragua find their way out of poverty).

2. CROPS  (Christian Options in Peterborough Schools) Link to website

The CROPS Trust is a Christian Educational Trust which is committed to communicating and demonstrating Christian truth and life-style to this generation of young people.

 

3.  The Lindores in France – with WEC Link to website

Mark & Jackie have 5 children and are Team Leaders for the work of WEC in the northern areas of France.

They have been there since 1993, and are involved in teaching English, music ministry, working with the homeless, as well as helping in the church (called L'Eau Vive) they attend with their 2 youngest daughters in the Lille area. The 3 older youngsters attend the Baptist Church in Lille, and Mark goes there roughly every 6 weeks to lead worship.

WEC International's mission is to reach the remaining unreached peoples of the world with the good news of Jesus, to plant churches where there is no church.

The family have had some difficult experiences since March this year, and would really appreciate prayer -especially for Jackie's health, and her chemotherapy treatment.

 

4.  The Buntons in the US – with Dove Mission International Link to website

The organisation Peter and RuthAnn work with - Dove Mission International - supports and encourages churches in a number of countries and following their recent visit to the UK in December 2008, Peter has been helping to establish a church plant in the Netherlands.

Peter and RuthAnn have also been encouraging missionaries in Brazil, and hosting an international missions conference in Pennsylvania. Their daughter Brooke is greatly enjoying her dancing, and Wesley really enjoys being part of a boy scout group.

Like many people, the Buntons are facing some financial challenges, and would really value our prayers and support in that respect. They are doing some work themselves in order to help the situation.
